Creative ICT in the classroom

Learning to use new technologies or software is frequently one of the most demanding tasks that any teacher can take on. Working alongside an experienced ICT teacher can teach skills in a way that a training course never can and it can build confidence by having someone to fall back on.

A Creative ICT teacher in your classroom can:

        - Deliver a model lesson

        - Work alongside members of staff

        - Coach a teacher when using new technology

        - Observe a lesson and provide constructive support and advice

        - Plan effective lessons

        - Work with you to achieve realistic targets

Creative ICT can also take on a specific teaching project, such as working with a class or group to design a website or make a video. As a fully qualified teacher, this can be done without any of your staff present (although you'll lose out on the training benefit) and as such could be used to deliver some of your 10% PPA time. If you are interested in using Creative ICT in this way, please contact John and discuss your idea.

Notes:

Team teaching projects or special teaching projects will require preparation and planning time.

Any kind of staff coaching, lesson observation or model lessons will require a staff planning meeting as part of the day and may also need a debrief.

Any notes relating to lesson observations etc will be treated as strictly confidential and will only be shared with agreed parties.
